Traditional Iranian natural-oil soap with over 2 centuries of history in Maragheh. Color varies by oil and process. Traditional versions contain no chemical detergents, harsh cleansers or many chemical additives. Eco-friendly; for face, body and, in some types, hair.
1. White: pure, quality vegetable oils; retains moisture; daily face/body use; for dry, sensitive or normal skin and children. Traditional type has no artificial colors or fragrances.
2. Yellow: most popular; balanced cleansing; reduces excess oil; for face, body and hair. Regular use may improve clarity. For all skin, especially normal/combination.
3. Black: more sesame oil or natural oil residue, depending on process; stronger cleansing; reduces oil, gives a deep-clean feel; also for hair. For oily skin or heavy sweating.
4. Sulfur: natural sulfur; helps reduce acne, oil and some superficial skin problems. For oily, acne-prone skin; medical advice recommended for sensitive skin.
5. Herbal: chamomile, aloe vera, lavender or calendula, depending on maker. Softens and soothes; mild natural scent; daily use for all skin, especially sensitive.
