Product details
Quality saffron adds color and aroma to food and garnishes. This bulbous plant grows in Southwest Asia, southern Spain and southern Europe. The description states that 100000–200000 plants yield about 5 kg of flowers and that 5 kg becomes 1 kg after drying. Novin Grade 1 Sargol saffron is listed as 608 g in 64 g cardboard packaging, measuring 3×14×20 cm. Sargol, also called Momtaz, Sarghalam or Sarrisheh, contains only pure stigmas, without the three-branched section. The stigmas are red, full-bodied and attractive, with strong coloring [•••] in a cool, dry place; heat and humidity cause deterioration and color loss. Grind thoroughly and dissolve in a little boiling water before use.
