Appearance: Long, slender grains with a delicate shape distinct from rounder varieties. Light cream and translucent, with a dark brown tip that gives the variety its name, Domsiah, meaning 'black tail.' Whole, uniform grains reflect quality and freshness.
Cooking and serving: A distinctive, exceptionally pleasant aroma develops during cooking. The grains become soft and elongated while remaining fully separate. A delicate, pleasant flavor suited to traditional Iranian tastes. Ideal for plain steamed rice, formal meals, rice served with kebab or grilled chicken, and special celebrations.
