Masghati is a traditional sweet Iranian dessert made mainly in southern Iran, particularly Hormozgan Province and Shiraz. It is prepared with ingredients such as starch, sugar, rosewater and saffron, sometimes with nuts such as pistachios and almonds. It has a soft, translucent, jelly-like texture. Usually served as a dessert or with tea, it is popular for its sweetness and the fragrance of rosewater and saffron.
