Product details
Natural honey from northwest Urmia, West Azerbaijan, on the Iran–Turkey border. Mediterranean air and eastern Anatolian moisture shape the climate. At 1500–2500 m, diverse mountain flora yields honey and plant syrups with reported sucrose of 0.5–1.5%, described as indicating no added artificial sugar. Sources include astragalus, thyme, galbanum, yellow flowers, coriander and mountain irises; products have strong aroma, rich flavor and claimed medicinal value. Traditionally collected and sold in Urmia, Salmas and Oshnavieh. Young igneous and limestone bedrock provides mineral-rich soil. The source again cites 0.5–1.5% sucrose as a naturalness indicator, versus over 5% in artificial or industrial products. Retail and bulk supply; breakfast honey sachets for tour leaders, restaurants, hotels, export traders and event catering. Addresses: Urmia, Ambari Blvd, after Yadollahi, opposite the school, No. 121; Mashhad, Janbaz Square, Janbaz 1, corner of Zare 1/4, Mr. Market. The region is noted for its pristine ecosystem, medicinal flora and temperate mountain climate.
